Audi has opened the registrations for its first 100% electric car, a sports SUV that will be between Q5 and Q7 and whose launch will take place later this year. The new Audi e-tron electric SUV can now be pre-ordered in Spain. Audi has presented the e-tron prototype at the Geneva International Motor Show.

The German brand will deliver the first units to customers in early 2019 and users wishing to make the reservation must pay 2,000 euros (2,465 US Dollar), the company said in a statement. At any time, the customer can recover the registration amount, the model is not currently available for sale, both the final price of the production model and the detailed equipment and technical characteristics will be communicated shortly.

Audi is in the final phase of validation of its new car, of which 250 preproduction units are completing a test program in "extreme conditions", covering more than five million kilometers on four continents. The production version of Audi's electric SUV will be manufactured at its plant in Brussels.

The new Audi electric SUV has space for five passengers. The German manufacturer says that their batteries, of which we do not know the capacity, will offer a great autonomy. The production version of the Audi e-tron prototype can be recharged in stations of up to 150 kW in just 30 minutes, which will greatly facilitate its use to travel long distances.
