The Fisker Ocean electric SUV production will begin in the last quarter of 2022. However, a few months before this deadline, the manufacturer is reassuring investors and boasts of having 32,000 reservations.

After a concept car displayed in January 2020 at CES, then an almost final model at the last Los Angeles show in November 2021, the Fisker Ocean electric SUV will be presented at the MWC Barcelona in a few days. Then finally, the Fisker Ocean electric SUV will be shown in its final version in June. After that, Fisker will start contacting holders of reservations to finalize orders. Production begins in November at Magna's factory in Graz, Austria. And the first deliveries are therefore scheduled for the beginning of 2023.

The calendar is therefore well known. Fisker seems confident about the debut of this electric SUV, announced from $37,000 in the United States, and 41,000 euros in Europe. Between reservations for individuals and those for fleets, the number of reservations, for just $250 per reservation, let's not forget, is approaching 32,000.

To this already positive number, Henrik Fisker adds some details: most customers are interested in the high versions, not the entry-level. This interest already suggests a potential turnover estimated at 1.7 billion dollars. Admittedly, the conversion rate between reservations and orders remains unknown. But as the pace of bookings appears to be accelerating as the actual launch nears, Fisker estimates it will manage to score 50,000 firm orders before production begins. Enough to secure a full year of production.
