The new Volkswagen ID.3 has had a fantastic start, after only a few months on the market it managed to become the second best-selling electric car in 2020. Across Europe, ID.3 left a solid imprint on sales of electric cars; it accumulated to 68,800 orders in 2020, of which 56,500 electric cars were delivered to customers with the result that Volkswagen ID.3 managed to become the best-selling electric car in Europe in December.

Now, the ID.3 model range is expanded with more model variants and a new entry-level model with an excellent price. Until now, ID.3 has been available with two battery sizes (58 kWh and 77 kWh), but now the model range is completed with the addition of a third battery of 45 kWh, which is offered in a Volkswagen ID.3 City for 36,000 euros. Even with this tiny battery ID.3 City has a range of 349 km (WLTP), which is enough to cover the driving needs of most people.

The comprehensive standard equipment includes wireless Apple Carplay / Android Auto, keyless start/stop, mood lights, Discover Pro navigation system and leather steering wheel with heating; in terms of safety assistance systems, it has adaptive cruise control, lane warning system, City Emergency Brake, pedestrians and cyclists detection system.

Volkswagen ID.3 City can charge with 7.2 kW AC when charging at home with a charging box, and the possibility of fast charging (100 kW) makes any stops on the go very short. The electric motor provides 150 hp, and Volkswagen ID.3 can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in just 8.9 seconds.

Volkswagen ID.3 Life with a 58 kWh battery and a 145 hp electric motor is available from 40,000 euros. This version can accelerate to 100 km / h in 9.6 sec. and has a range of 423 km. ID.3 Family with 145 hp is available for 45,000 euros.

Included in the price of all Volkswagen ID.3 variants is a 5 year / 100,000 km Service and Repair subscription.

Moreover, ID.3 is only the beginning of a large family of innovative ID. electric cars. The ID.4 SUV will be introduced in March, and later this year the world premiere of the ID.CROZZ series-produced version will follow. Next year, ID.BUZZ and BUZZ Cargo will be introduced, and maybe in 2023, we will have an ID. Space Vizzion mass-produced.
