Peugeot has unveiled its latest electric vehicle, the Peugeot e-308, a compact hatchback that combines a sleek design, a spacious interior, and a range of advanced features. The new Peugeot e-308 is now available to order in Germany, with deliveries expected to start in early 2024.

The Peugeot e-308 is based on the same platform as the Peugeot 308, the brand’s popular combustion-engine model that was launched earlier this year. However, the e-308 has some distinctive elements that set it apart from its siblings, such as a specific front grille, an “e” badge on the front fender, and a charging port on the rear left wing.

The Peugeot e-308 is powered by a 100 kW (136 hp) electric motor and a 50 kWh battery that provides a range of up to 217 miles (350 km), according to the WLTP cycle. The battery can be recharged to 80% in just 30 minutes using a 100 kW DC fast charger or in about five hours using a 7.4 kW AC wall box. The e-308 also supports regenerative braking, which recovers energy when decelerating or braking.

The Peugeot e-308 offers three driving modes: Eco, which optimizes energy consumption; Normal, which balances performance and comfort; and Sport, which enhances responsiveness and agility. The e-308 also features a Power Meter, which displays the power consumption or recovery status, and an E-Toggle switch, which allows the driver to select the gear (Park, Reverse, Neutral, Drive, or Brake).

The Peugeot e-308 is not only efficient but also stylish and practical. The e-308 has a dynamic and elegant design, with smooth lines, sharp headlights, and a distinctive rear signature. The e-308 also has a spacious and comfortable interior, with a boot capacity of 412 liters and a modular rear bench that can be folded down to create more space.

The Peugeot e-308 is equipped with a range of advanced features that enhance safety, comfort, and connectivity. The e-308 has a 10-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The e-308 also has a wireless smartphone charging pad, a head-up display, and a Focal premium sound system.

The Peugeot e-308 also boasts a high level of safety, thanks to its Peugeot Drive Assist 2.0 system, which includes adaptive cruise control with stop and go function, lane keeping assist, traffic sign recognition, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and emergency braking. The e-308 also has a 360-degree camera system, which provides a bird’s eye view of the surroundings when parking or maneuvering.

The Peugeot e-308 is available in four trim levels: Active PackAllureGT, and GT Pack. The prices start from €37,250 ($41,800) for the Active Pack version and go up to €43,800 ($49,200) for the GT Pack version. The prices include an eight-year or 100,000-mile warranty for the battery and a three-year or 60,000-mile warranty for the vehicle.

The Peugeot e-308 is an attractive option for drivers who are looking for an electric vehicle that combines style, practicality, and performance. The new Peugeot e-308 is expected to compete with other electric hatchbacks in the market, such as the Volkswagen ID.3, the Hyundai Ioniq 5, and the Nissan Leaf.

The new Peugeot e-308 is part of Peugeot’s ambition to offer an electrified version of every model in its range by 2025. Peugeot already has several electric models in its portfolio, such as the Peugeot e-208, the Peugeot e-2008, and the Peugeot e-Traveller. The Peugeot e-308 is another step towards Peugeot’s vision of becoming a leading brand in the electric vehicle market.
