Polestar expands its product range by introducing the exclusive performance car: Polestar 2 BST edition 270. The new version is based on decades of experience streamlining electric vehicles on performance, which is now expressed as the most dynamic and powerful electrical performance car from Polestar.
As the name suggests, only 270 electric cars are produced exclusively for Europe, North America, and China. Polestar also offers buyers private instruction from a Polestar specialist and an exclusive test drive so that customers can experience the car's full potential.
"We received a fantastic reception of the specially modified Polestar 2, which we showed at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2021. The reception made it clear that we had to create a similar production model," says Thomas Ingenlath, Polestars CEO.
The Polestar 2 BST edition 270 electric car includes mechanical modifications and many design improvements that elevate it above other Polestar 2 models. The result is an electric car that provides a superior dynamic experience behind the wheel.
The two electric motors and 78 kWh battery have been improved and now offer a maximum performance of 350 kW (476 hp) and a torque of 680 Nm, along with increased responsiveness to suit the more sporty dynamics.
Modifications to the undercarriage involve a 25 mm lower ground clearance, specially developed and adjustable Öhlins Dual Flow Valve shock absorbers, a tower strut mounted at the front, stiffer springs, and unique new black 21-inch alloy wheels inspired by the Polestar 1 rims. In addition, the 245 / 35R21 Pirelli P Zero tires are explicitly designed for the car, while the iconic Brembo brakes are standard.
The Polestar 2 BST edition 270 limited-edition model is available in Thunder and Snow colors and with a WeaveTech interior in the Charcoal. Thanks to the fully lacquered bumpers and side skirts, the body has a more substantial look. A matte black body stripe can be chosen, just as the car comes in a matte black satin wrap lacquer in the color Battleship Gray. The side mirrors are made of polished black. The Polestar's characteristic details can still be found on the brake calipers, shock absorbers, valve caps, and seat belts.
Interested customers in the relevant markets are encouraged to indicate their interest, after which Polestar specialists will coordinate a personal sales process. Production is scheduled to begin in mid-2022, with expected delivery from the fourth quarter. @via Polestar.
