Skoda has released the first official sketches with Enyaq IV, its electric SUV that will be unveiled on September 1 in Prague. This model marks the beginning of a new era for the Czech brand. SKODA Enyaq IV based on the modular electrification platform (MEB) of the Volkswagen Group is progressive, expressive and dynamic.
The new SKODA ENYAQ iV will be available with rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive, three battery packs, and five power levels.
Karl Neuhold, Director of the Exterior Design Department of the ŠKODA brand, revealed in a video interview the fundamental design aspects of the SKODA ENYAQ IV model.
The base version of the SKODA ENYAQ iV will be the ENYAQ iV 50, with a 55 kWh integrated battery pack and a 150 horsepower electric motor and autonomy will be from up to 340 kilometres. The range increases to 390 km when choosing the 62 kWh battery.
The SKODA ENYAQ iV 80 with an 82 kWh battery and rear-wheel drive promises 205 horsepower and a range up to 500 kilometres.
The top version of the Skoda Enyaq will accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 6.2 seconds and a top speed of 180 km / h.
The Skoda Enyaq electric SUV will have a length of 4,648 mm, a width of 1,877 mm and a height of 1,618 mm, with a wheelbase of 2,765 mm, values very close to those of the Skoda Kodiaq SUV.
The new Skoda Enyaq iV electric SUV will be put into production by the end of this year at the Mlada Boleslav plant. its market launch is planned for the beginning of 2021. At that time, the model will be available in a special version "Founder's Edition" limited to only 1895 units, which symbolises the year in which Skoda was founded.
