The Fiat 500e has been the winner designated for the best Electric City Car of the Year 2022. The 500e won in part due to its popularity, charging speed, and affordable pricing.

This year, the 'electric car of the year voting' included no fewer than 36 brands and 67 models. "The Fiat 500e is a popular electric vehicle in its class due to its high loading speed and affordable pricing." According to the jury, which includes representatives from VZR, AutoWeek, Eneco, LeasePlan, and Algemeen Dagblad.

"Although the Fiat 500e electric car debuted less than a year ago, it is already a common sight on the Dutch streets. Although Fiat was not the first to introduce a completely electric vehicle, this prize demonstrates that Fiat's first is an immediate success. We have noticed that many visitors to our showroom still have reservations about electric vehicles. However, following a test drive and learning that the car can go more than 300 kilometers on a single battery and is packed with high-tech amenities, the majority choice for the Fiat 500e electric car over the hybrid model. Certainly, in the Netherlands, it helps that electric driving is significantly less expensive than driving on conventional gasoline and that the automobile is reasonably priced, both in terms of purchase and leasing.
