Peugeot and VANDERER, an Allgäu (Germany) company specializing in campervan solutions, worked together to create the new Peugeot e-Rifter VANDERER Urban Camper. The Peugeot e-Rifter L2 serves as the foundation for the practical multi-use car. The unique Peugeot e-Rifter VANDERER model comes in various packages, each tailored to the buyer based on their preferences in terms of exterior and interior color, functionality, and accessories. Thus, the modern campervan provides the optimal setting for urban excursions and family camping vacations.

The Peugeot e-Rifter L2 5-seater is the foundation for today's urban campers. The L2 variant with seven seats is available as an alternative. Converted from a Peugeot e-Rifter, the Vaderer campervan can carry up to five passengers. The Peugeot e-Rifter VANDERER comes equipped with many niceties, and you can upgrade it further with options from VANDERER, such as a pop-up roof that converts into a bed.

The Peugeot e-Rifter has a striking design, highlighted by its high, vertically aligned radiator grille and modern, rugged front end. In addition, the radiator grille is adorned with the Peugeot lion logo. Try using narrow, feline-looking LED headlights for maximum daytime and nighttime visibility. Peugeot e-Rifter L2 models are 4.75 meters in length and 1.88 meters in height. The distance between each set of wheels is 2.98 meters.

Peugeot's new e-Rifter VANDERER is a high-tech and flexible campervan. Customers can tailor their model to their needs by choosing from a variety of customizable features, such as the "Interior Living" furniture module and the "Cool&Freeze" package. Space-efficient cooking options include gas and induction in the pull-out kitchen nook. Gas and induction stovetops complement the ample storage space in the kitchen's height-adjustable cabinetry. Additionally, there is a sink and a sink with running water in the kitchen nook (volume of 12 liters of fresh water and wastewater). Between the two front seats of the Peugeot e-Rifter VANDERER is a 16-liter compressor fridge and freezer.

The flexible layout and array of available apps are adaptable to the needs of individual vacationers. During the day, guests can use the outdoor kitchenette, eating area, and coffee table; at night, they can use the lowered kitchenette, which provides a more spacious place to sleep. Additional sleeping space for two people can be found on the camper's pop-up roof. The sleeping roof's front may be opened all the way, providing a breathtaking panorama. Passenger-side installation of the Fiamma F35 Deep Black awning is available upon request.

There is much room for luggage thanks to the VANDERER furniture system, which is both handcrafted and multipurpose. It also features a pop-up roof that was built just for this purpose.

You can easily remove the entire furniture module with just two persons and no special equipment. In addition, the furniture can be easily stowed away when not in use, providing extra storage room or enough seating for a complete dinner party of seven.

Completely redesigned cabin with cutting-edge Peugeot i-Cockpit

When it comes to the Peugeot e-cabin, Rifter's it's all about clean lines, cutting-edge tech, and a polished feel. Peugeot's i-Cockpit features a dynamic steering wheel and a touchscreen measuring 8 inches loaded with the latest technologies. In addition, an instrument cluster placed at the driver's eye level contributes to a luxurious and user-friendly interior. The additional capabilities of the Peugeot i-Cockpit give the user all the data necessary to operate an electric vehicle. The power display, the consumption display for temperature comfort, the battery charge level indicator, and a color matrix for interpreting the information are all part of the primary analog instrument cluster.

The Allure Pack version's 8-inch color touchscreen makes it easy to access and manage a wide range of features. TomTom Traffic provides real-time rerouting options based on traffic conditions and a wealth of other data such as parking locations, gas stations, and weather forecasts. Mirror Screen allows users to mirror their smartphone's display onto the touchscreen, allowing access to certain features and apps (in conjunction with the RCC audio system and navigation). The Mirror Screen supports Mirror Link, Apple CarplayTM, and Android AutoTM. The center console also features a USB connector, an AUX port, and a Bluetooth hands-free system.

Advanced driver-assistance technologies

Regarding commonplace transportation demands, the Peugeot e-Rifter VANDERER has you covered with its extensive collection of high-tech features. The following may be included as standard or as an upgrade, depending on the bundle selected:

  • Parking assistant,
  • Front acoustic parking aid (rear series),
  • a reversing camera with a 180° view of the surroundings,
  • Keyless System (keyless entry and start system),
  • Emergency braking function with Active Safety Brake and collision warning,
  • Heated front seats.

A lithium-ion battery pack with a 50 kWh capacity is an option for the Peugeot e-Rifter VANDERER. The battery offers a range of up to 274 kilometers (combined, L2, 5-seater). In addition, the battery's thermal regulation allows for fast charging, improved range, and increased durability.

The 11 kW onboard charger is included in all configurations as a standard feature. In addition, the van may be charged from various sources, including a standard household outlet, a reinforced outlet, a wall box, or a rapid charging station, all of which can be accessed via the charging socket on the rear left fender. The 50 kWh battery has various charging modes to suit multiple everyday needs. Home, office, and public charging stations are all viable options.

When asked about Vanderer's asking price, Peugeot remained silent. However, an entry-level E-Rifter will cost a minimum of 41,240 EUR. For this reason, the Peugeot e-Rifter VANDERER's estimated starting price range of 60,000 to 65,000 euros seems reasonable. @via Peugeot.

The Peugeot e-Rifter VANDERER has several charging options:

  1. If you use a standard wall outlet (8A) to charge, it will take about 31 hours and 10 minutes to charge fully.
  2. A full charge can be achieved in 13 hours and 55 minutes when using a 16A reinforced socket.
  3. With the 11 kW wall box, the onboard 3-phase (11 kW) charger can fully charge the battery in about 5 hours and 5 minutes.
  4. Charging to 80% capacity at a 100 kW fast-charging station takes roughly 30 minutes, thanks to the battery's thermal management system.

Still, If you want a cheap alternative I recommend the low-cost campervan: Dacia Dokker Camperiz. Unfortunately, it's not an electric campervan.
