According to a new media report from France, the 100% electric compact SUV planned by Renault for 2021 based on the new e-platform CMF-EV could have the model name Zandar. Other Renault E-SUVs are also prepared.

In the report by "Caradisiac" the size of a Renault Captur is discussed, the maximum range should be over 500 kilometres. It is also mentioned that there should be different battery sizes, for the smaller version there is talk of around 300 kilometres.

Thanks to the use of the new CMF-EV platform which will be used for the future electric models, Renault can consider increasing the number of “zero-emission” cars. Renault's future urban SUV should also have limited height in order to benefit from efficient Cx and sCx. The aim is to improve the Zandar's aerodynamics. The design should be based on the Morphoz concept car.

There is no information in the report on the charging performance of the Renault Zandar.

The French manufacturer is also considering a large e-SUV with seven seats. The brand's new electric models are to be manufactured at Renault's French plant in Douai.
