Initially, it may sound like a computer operating system, but the reality is that Liux strongly impacts us. We're speaking about a Spanish start-up that has been in operation for a little over a year and has set the goal of launching a groundbreaking electric car. The original electric vehicle already exists and is known as Liux AnimalIt will be available on the market in 2024.

One of the main goals that its founders, Antonio Espinosa de los Monteros and David Sancho Domingo, have set for themselves is to be the standard-bearers of sustainability. To that end, they have developed the production process through 3D printing, and most Liux Animal's components are of plant origin. They have used bio-polymers and bio-composites derived from natural fibers and resins such as flax.

The Liux Animal's chassis, however, enables the use of replaceable and modular batteries that can be updated, enlarged, or reused for other vehicles, considerably lowering production costs. Initially, the Liux Animal will be available with two or four battery modules, each weighing 100 kg and containing 23 kWh capacity, with a range of 300 km minimum and 600 km maximum.

However, because it is not an SUV, the Liux Animal electric car deviates from the current market trend. It is a sedan with an exquisite and athletic cut that measures 4.95 meters long, the same length as the range's second version, with a shooting brake cut silhouette. In terms of appearance, the Liux Animal follows the market trend with a rear with a light strip for the optical groups and a huge segmented spoiler in the top section. The front is clean and aerodynamic, thanks to the bigger bumpers that give it a more sporty appearance.

Speaking of aerodynamic characteristics, the flush handles are linked, implying that the doors provide access in the Rolls-Royce style. Regardless, the interior has a futuristic and digital feel, with a single vertical screen and a minimalist instrument cluster on the dashboard drawing attention.

In addition to the ability to equip multiple battery options based on the number of modules to be filled, the Liux Animal is available in two variants: Habitat Edition and Wild Edition. Both have a BorgWarner electric motor capable of delivering up to 190 hp (240 hp at peak moments), combined with a weight of no more than 1,700 kilos (200 kg saved due to the use of bio-based materials), which will allow acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in about 5 seconds and close to 200 km/h at top speed.

In the case of the battery, the 800-volt technology allows you to connect to direct current outlets of up to 350 kW, resulting in faster charging times. As previously stated, the Liux Animal electric car will not be accessible until at least the first four months of 2024

Yet, the Liux Spanish company has already established a pre-reservation on its website where you may guarantee one by placing a symbolic deposit of 200 euros.

The price of the car has already been announced: 39,000 euros for the Liux Animal Habitat Edition and 45,000 euros for the Liux Animal Wild Edition. In both cases, you can pay an extra 9,000 euros for a battery with four modules and a range of up to 600 kilometers. @via Liux.
