The new Mercedes-Benz EQA 250+ is quite a statement of intent compared to its competitors. But, do you want to know all its official details? Many people eagerly awaited a version of greater autonomy in the Mercedes-Benz EQA family. If you are one of them, we have good news. The reason? The 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQA 250+ variant has the same power as the standard Mercedes-Benz EQA 250 electric SUV… but a much greater range!

The 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQA 250+ maintains its 140 kW (190 hp), but the torque rises from 370 Nm to 385 Nm, transmitted to the front axle. Moreover, official data points to an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.1 seconds and a maximum speed of 160 km/h. Finally, thanks to a 70.5 kWh battery, autonomy reaches an excellent figure: 540 km WLTP.

The 2021 Mercedes-Benz EQA 250 electric crossover SUV completes the same sprint in 8.9 seconds while holding the same top speed: 160 km/h. But its battery has a lower capacity (66.5 kWh), enabling EQA 250 to drive between 402 km and 429 km with a single charge.

Different measures taken by the manufacturer would explain the gain of autonomy (111 km) for the Mercedes-Benz EQA 250+. Mercedes-Benz replaces the asynchronous motor of the EQA 250 with other permanent magnets (synchronous), which are more efficient - 60 km. With 4 kWh more, the battery delivers an extra 31 km, while the remaining 20 km have been made possible thanks to unique tires with higher pressure and optimized aerodynamics. The Mercedes-Benz EQA 250+ electric crossover SUV does not include the roof bars (it cannot be equipped with a trailer hitch).

The 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQA 250+ electric SUV is already available to buy in various European countries, thus revealing another decisive factor: its price. For example, in Germany, the 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQA 250+ has a starting price of 55,999 euros, representing an increase of 8,500 euros compared to the 2021 Mercedes-Benz EQA 250 electric SUV.

The 2022 Mercedes-Benz EQA 250+ is a concrete response to the Audi Q4 e-tron, Lexus UX 300e, Volkswagen ID.5, or the Volvo XC40 Recharge. We expect to be able to offer you more details very soon.
