The electric vehicle market is growing rapidly, and the pickup truck segment is no exception. Several automakers have already unveiled their plans to launch electric trucks in the near future, such as the Ford F-150 Lightning, the Rivian R1T, and the GMC Hummer EV. However, they need to match the impressive features and capabilities of the new 2025 RAM 1500 REV, which made its world debut at the New York International Auto Show.

The RAM 1500 REV is the first battery-electric light pickup truck from RAM Truck, and it is a game-changer in every aspect. It is based on the award-winning RAM 1500 but has been redesigned and reengineered to offer a new level of performance, efficiency, and innovation. The RAM 1500 REV is not just an electric truck; it is a truck that electrifies.

The RAM 1500 REV offers two battery options: a standard 168-kWh pack that provides a target range of up to 350 miles and an optional 229-kWh pack that delivers a target range of up to an unmatched 500 miles. Both packs can be recharged quickly and conveniently using an 800-volt DC fast charger that can add up to 110 miles of range in about 10 minutes. The RAM 1500 REV also supports bi-directional charging, which means it can share its power with another Stellantis electric vehicle or even supply energy to a home or a grid in case of a power outage.

The RAM 1500 REV is powered by two electric motors, one on each axle, that produce a combined output of 654 horsepower and 620 lb-ft of torque. This allows the truck to accelerate from zero to 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds and reach a top speed of 120 mph. The RAM 1500 REV also boasts an impressive towing capacity of up to 14,000 pounds and a payload capacity of up to 2,700 pounds, making it one of the most capable trucks on the market.

The RAM 1500 REV also features a new STLA Frame platform that enhances its strength and durability. The platform also accommodates a spacious front trunk or "frunk" that offers additional cargo space and onboard power outlets. The truck's exterior design has been updated with a new seven-slot grille with an illuminated RAM badge, dynamic LED lighting, charging identification lights, and ten new wheel designs.

The interior of the RAM 1500 REV is equally impressive, offering a refined and comfortable cabin with advanced technologies and luxurious amenities. The truck features a new instrument panel with a Uconnect 5 system and a best-in-class 12.3-inch touchscreen radio with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto standard. The truck also offers first and second-row side curtain airbags, Forward Collision Warning (Sport S version and up), and Advanced Cruise Control with Shutdown (Sport S version and up) as standard safety features.

One of the most innovative features of the RAM 1500 REV is the first factory application of Trails Offroad, which offers 62 complete Jeep Badge of Honor trail guides loaded directly into the Uconnect 5 system, with an upgradeable subscription that unlocks the complete catalog of more than 3,000 Trails Offroad guides. This feature allows drivers to explore new trails and discover new places easily and conveniently.

The RAM 1500 REV will be available in several models to suit different customer preferences and budgets. The base model will be the Sport S, followed by the Big Horn, Laramie, Rebel, Longhorn, and Limited. The pricing and availability details will be announced closer to the launch date.

The RAM 1500 REV is not just another electric pickup truck; it is a truck that sets a new standard for the industry. It is a truck that combines the best of both worlds: the legendary capability and reliability of RAM trucks with the efficiency and innovation of electric vehicles. It is a truck that will revolutionize the way people drive, work, and play. It is a truck that will make you rethink everything you know about trucks. @via RAM.
