The new Renault City K-ZE opens a new chapter for the French manufacturer. City K-ZE is an electric SUV that earns its place on the most developed market for zero emission vehicles.

Six months after the presentation of the same concept at the Paris Motor Show, Renault City K-ZE was unveiled at the Shanghai Motor Show. The car will be built in China for the Chinese market, but it is also most likely to reach Europe.

Even if the exterior dimensions were not specified, the wheelbase will be 2,423 mm and the boot volume will have a minimum volume of 300 liters.

Unfortunately, the power of the electric motor is not known nor the capacity of the battery. Most likely, the autonomy will not exceed 250 km (according to the NEDC standard) in order to keep the production costs as low as possible.

The 100% electric SUV City K-ZE features a fast charging system that allows the battery to charge from 0 to 80% in 50 minutes. In "Slow" mode, it takes 4 hours.

Inside, City K-ZE's customers will benefit from an air purification system and an 8-inch touchscreen LCD touchscreen display with online navigation and real-time tracking of the electrical functions. The car will be permanently connected to the internet, thanks to 4G support and specific applications. The car will also benefit from WiFi and an intelligent voice recognition system.

The 100% electric Renault City K-ZE can be ordered from late this year, and most likely, the first copies will be delivered in the early part of 2020.
