The new electric offensive of Seat officially begins with this unprecedented and new 2020 Mii Electric, the first fully electric car in the history of the Spanish brand that will hit the market at the end of 2019 with vehicles arriving with customers in the first quarter of 2020. Prices will be disclosed closer to the release date. The Seat Mii with combustion engine costs between 11,500 and almost 15,000 euros. It is very likely that the Mii Electric will go for well under 20,000 euros.

The 2020 Seat Mii Electric will be manufactured in Bratislava (Slovakia) and will share the technical platform with the also announced Skoda Citigoe iV and the new VW e-Up! . The Mii electric is the first of the models in the new electrification strategy of the company.

During the presentation of the Seat Mii Electric in Oslo (Norway), the chairman of Seat, Luca de Meo, said:

 "In Europe, the electric vehicle market grew by 46 percent in the first four months of the year, moving forward we expect electrified vehicles to play an important role within our range. The Mii Electric is the start of that journey, and at the same time brings to the market an affordable electric car."

2020 Seat Mii Electric will be available also through the subscription model, so customers will not have to worry about buying a car, but to enjoy it for a monthly fee.

The new Seat Mii Electric will only be sold with this purely electric version and with a five-door body. Its exterior design has been updated and highlights the incorporation of the word electric in the rear, in addition to specific adhesives on the side and 16-inch aluminum rims.

On the inside, the aesthetic changes are ingenious and the 'Lane Assist' lane change assistant will be included in its standard equipment.  The rear seats of the electric car can be folded down. The result is a cargo volume of 923 liters in the trunk.

2020 Seat Mii Electric will use a 61 kW electric motor (about 83 HP) and 212 Nm of maximum torque. Its electrical energy is stored in a lithium-ion battery of 36.8 kWh. The maximum speed is 130 km / h. The five-door accelerates in 3.9 seconds to 50 km / h.

With a full battery load and according to the WLTP approval cycle, Seat announces an autonomy of 260 km. Different charging options for the batteries will be offered, in addition to the installation of the personal charging point 'SEAT Wallbox'. The battery is charged in fast charge mode within one hour to 80 percent.

The 2020 Seat Mii Electric is also the first Seat to offer the Seat Connect system , through which through a specific app installed on the smartphone, you can remotely access the vehicle's driving data, know the exact point in which it has been previously parked, know the state of charge of the battery and turn on even the air conditioning just before entering the vehicle.

The range of the 2020 Seat Mii Electric will consist of two different finishes with five optional equipment packages: Garage, Easy Flex, Below Zero, Home Charge and FAST (CC load). There are five body colors available: Deep Black, Candy White, Tornado Red, Costa Blue and Tungsten Silver.
