Taking advantage of the new anti-pollution regulations of the European Union, more and more Chinese manufacturers are setting the goal of conquering the European market with their electric cars. After the arrival of brands like Aiways, BYD or Xpeng, now it's Elaris' turn.

The German company Elaris has added a Beo electric SUV to its line of electric vehicles. It is marketed as a premium electric car and is expected to go on sale at the end of July 2021. Its starting price will be 49,900 euros. In Germany, taking into account government subsidies, the smallest price of the model will be 41,000 euros.

Equipped with a 72 kWh battery capacity, the Elaris Beo advertises a range of 460 km WLTP. It's electric motor produces 204 hp (150 kW). According to the company, Beo will support fast charging; Elaris has confirmed that it will take 30 minutes to charge the battery from 20% to 80%.

The Beo electric crossover SUV features four-zone climate control, automatic parking, laser headlights, a 12.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system and a panoramic glass roof. Elaris also praises high-quality design and spaciousness among the model's advantages.

The Beo is manufactured by the Chinese company Skywell and is a replica of the ET5 electric crossover SUV, unveiled last April. Elaris says it intends to further develop its electric vehicle lineup in collaboration with Dorcen and Skywell.

Following the Beo, Elaris is planning to launch three more electric cars in Germany: the Leo compact SUV and the Finn and Zhidou urban SUVs.

The Elaris Leo will measure 4.53 meters long, will have a power of 170 HP (125 kW) and a battery of 80 kWh that will allow a range of 450 km WLTP. Its price before aid will be 37,000 euros.

The Elaris Finn will rival the Smart EQ fortwo. Its 31.5 kWh battery will allow a range of 265 km.

The Elaris Zhidou will be smaller (2.81 meters), while its 27 kWh battery will give a range of 225 km WLTP. Their prices will start at 18,120 euros.
