Everyone knows that pollution is a problem that is affecting our planet and, fortunately, or unfortunately, the automotive industry has a lot to do with it. To remedy this, there are already many brands that are beginning to bet massively on alternatives to traditional combustion engines, such as electric, hybrid or plug-in hybrid cars also known as PHEV. These alternatives are being applied to a large extent on public transport, but now Madrid police have succumbed to the magic of the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, one of the best car within the segment of plug-in hybrid SUVs.

Within its fleet of police vehicles, the Madrid Police Department has 23 new units of the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV, as police patrol cars. The plug-in hybrid vehicle is ideal for patrolling the dense traffic of the Spanish capital. The Madrid police will be able to ensure the safety of citizens, both around Madrid, as well as in the center of the city, without polluting emissions and consuming zero liters of fuel, in certain circumstances.
