The official premiere of the first 100% electric SUV of the Czech brand, Skoda Enyaq iV, has arrived. The electric SUV is a model with grandiose plans, which begin with ultra-modern technical systems and with design and functionalities that make it truly desirable.

The new Skoda Enyaq iV is a modern SUV with a dynamic and practical silhouette and we must admit that it looks extremely good, resembling quite a lot with the concept presented half a year ago.

Skoda Enyaq iV has a length of 4,648 mm, a width of 1,877 mm, a height of 1,618 mm and a wheelbase of 2,765 mm, values ​​very close to those of the Kodiaq SUV. In fact, the new Enyaq promises to be as spacious as a Kodiaq on the inside, despite the fact that it will be shorter than an Octavia on the outside!

Thus, Enyaq iV is included in the segment of mid-range electric SUVs, in which among the few competitors are the future Volkswagen ID.4, Ford Mustang Mach-E and Jaguar I-Pace.

From the design point of view, the new Enyaq iV stands out especially through the illuminated grille, which received the Crystal Face name and which relies on the power of 130 LEDs. The illuminated grille is available as standard only on the RS performance version and for the special launch version.

As standard, Enyaq iV is equipped on LED headlights and taillights, but customers can also optionally choose Matrix LED headlights. The basic version of the Skoda Enyaq iV is equipped with 18-inch steel wheels, while all other versions will have steel wheels with diameters ranging from 18 inches to 21 inches. In total, Skoda offers 8 rim variants for the new model.

The new Skoda Enyaq iV is equipped with a 5.3-inch digital instrument display, while the centre screen has a 13-inch diagonal. It can also be operated by gestures or voice commands. Skoda says that the infotainment system is wirelessly compatible with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink systems, and the audio system has a four-channel 20 W amplifier.

Skoda Enyaq IV  debuted with 5 engines models - 50, 60, 80, 80x and RS. The numbers do not represent kWh or other direct technical data, but rather suggest a hierarchy.

The 50, 60 and 80 engines will have a single-engine, positioned on the rear axle, while the 80x and RS will have two electric engines and an all-wheel-drive system.

Skoda Enyaq IV 50

Skoda Enyaq IV 50 will be equipped with an electric motor of 109 kW (148 hp) mounted on the rear axle and have a battery of 55 kWh (net capacity of 52 kWh) with a range of up to 340 km (WLTP).

Skoda Enyaq IV 60

Skoda Enyaq IV 60 has an electric motor positioned on the rear axle that provides 132 kW (180 hp), while the battery 62 kWh (net capacity of 58 kWh) provides a  range of up to 390 kilometres (WLTP).

Skoda Enyaq IV 80

Skoda Enyaq IV 80 will have an electric motor of 150 kW (204 hp) located at the rear, a battery of 62 kWh (net capacity of 58 kWh) and a range of up to 510 kilometres (WLTP). This is the version that offers the most generous autonomy.

Skoda Enyaq iV 80X has an additional electric motor on the front axle to provide an all-wheel drive. In total, the system generates 195 kW (265 hp) and the battery of 82 kWh (net capacity 77 kWh) has a range of 460 kilometres (WLTP).

Skoda Enyaq iV RS relies on an all-wheel drive with two electric motors that together offer 225 kW (306 hp). Skoda claims that this version has a range of 460 kilometres (WLTP). The company mentions that the Enyaq iV RS reaches from 0 to 100 km / h in 6.2 seconds, a top speed of 180 km / h and a towing capacity of 1.2 tons.

Regardless of the version chosen, the battery of the Skoda Enyaq iV can be charged to fast-charging stations with a direct current (DC) of up to 125 kW, in which case a battery charging session from 5% to 80% will take 38 hours. minutes. In the absence of fast stations, the battery can also be charged at alternating current (AC) charging stations. In the case of 11 kW charging, a full charge takes up to 8 hours.

The new Skoda Enyaq iV also offers numerous support systems: Adaptive Lane Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Collision Avoidance Assist, Turn Assist, Exit Warning, Park Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Adaptive Lane Assist, Traffic Jam Assist and Emergency Assist.

Orders for Skoda Enyaq iV started already in many European countries, but the actual deliveries will not start until next spring! Prices will start at around 35,000 euros and reach 43,950 euros, before the application of subsidies for electric cars.

Production of the Skoda Enyaq IV will start at the end of 2020 at the Mlada Boleslav plant.
